Ton Pentre are off the bottom of the table after the Bulldogs battled to a point at Ynys Park against 6th placed Goytre United.
Ton Pentre were forced into playing the majority of the second half with 10-men following the dismissal of Josh Hardy.
The Bulldogs defender was on the receiving end of a rash and dangerous tackle that saw the offender receive a yellow card. However, on the prompting of the assistant referee, Hardy was given his marching orders to the surprise of everyone in Ynys Park for his alleged retaliation to the challenge.
The Bulldogs fought really hard and the determination throughout the team was commendable. Ton Pentre also created some great opportunities to score with Kieren Bassett amongst those to go close with their efforts.
Ton Pentre had turned in a spirited performance against Haverfordwest County a week previous and this latest match showed improvement with a vital point being earned to take Ton Pentre off the bottom of Division One.
The Bulldogs next match is on Saturday, 25 November against Afan Lido at the Marston’s Stadium where kick off is at 2:00pm.
