Haverfordwest County 2-1 Ton Pentre l Welsh League Division One l Saturday, 11 November 2017 l Bridge Meadow Stadium

Ton Pentre produced an improved performance as they returned to Welsh League Division One action following a fortnight of cup matches.

Haverfordwest County were the Bulldogs opponents, who were second in the table going into the match with Ton Pentre bottom of the table.

Leon Jacka gave the Bulldogs a fantastic start to the game when after just nine minutes he struck an incredible goal that amazed everyone inside the Bridge Meadow Stadium. Having been given plenty of space, Jacka hit a sweet strike that swerved and dipped with precision into the top lefthand corner of the goal.

Haverfordwest levelled through Greg Walters after a defensive error led to a free kick being conceded on the lefthand side of the 18-yard box. Dan Williams then gave the home team the lead on the half-hour mark to make it 2-1.

The second half was very open with both teams having opportunities to score again but the Bluebirds managed to deny Ton Pentre an equalising goal.

Ton Pentre’s next match is on Saturday, 18 November at Ynys Park when Goytre United visit the Rhondda. The match kicks off at 2:00pm.
