Ton Pentre v Briton Ferry Llansawel | Welsh League Division One | Saturday, 16 October 2017 | KO 2:30pm | Ynys Park

A new era begins at Ton Pentre as the Bulldogs welcome Briton Ferry Llansawel to Ynys Park as Kevin Richards returns to the dugout.

The enthusiasm of Richards is sure to rub off on the players as they go in search of their first league win of the season. “I will always give 110%,” said an excited Richards. “If you cut me in half I’m Ton Pentre through and through.

“I’m very happy to have been given this opportunity and I can’t wait to be back at Ynys Park on the sidelines.

“I am completely focussed on the task ahead and am determined to bring success back to Ton Pentre.”

Briton Ferry come into the match off the back of two excellent results following a 3-3 draw in the league against Penybont, followed by a fine JD Welsh Cup Round 1 victory over Goytre United, beating the Division One high flyers 3-1.

The Bulldogs are also buoyed coming into the game following their 2-1 away win in the Welsh Cup against Cardiff Draconians.

Richards is without the services of Nathan Facey (1 match suspension remaining) and goalkeeper Ryan Griffiths (Unavailable). Meanwhile, midfielder Corey Shephard completed a transfer to Cambrian & Clydach Vale in the week.

The match at Ynys Park kicks off at 2:30pm and there’ll be updates across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
