Richards return to the Ynys Park hot seat

Ton Pentre AFC are pleased to announce that Kevin Richards has been appointed as First Team Manager and will be in the dugout for Saturday’s (14 October) home match against Briton Ferry Llansawel at Ynys Park.

Following an extensive application and interview process, the Bulldogs Board have turned to the experienced Richards for his second spell in charge of the Rhondda club.

Richards has been one of the most successful managers in the Bulldogs history, having led the club to five Welsh League Division One titles plus the Welsh League Cup on two occasions.

Richards enjoyed many fruitful seasons as a player with the Bulldogs and was widely acknowledged as one of the best midfielders in domestic Welsh football.

The former Welsh semi-pro  international played in Europe for both Ton Pentre and Inter Cardiff. For the Bulldogs he participated in the UEFA Intertoto Cup and he played against Scottish Premier League giants Celtic for Inter Cardiff in the UEFA Cup.

Richards was introduced to the First Team Squad at training earlier in the week and will be relishing the encounter against Briton Ferry.
