Ton Pentre AFC Youth have been crowned Champions of the Welsh League Youth Division East following their 7-1 victory at Croesyceiliog in their last league game of the season.
The Bulldogs went into the match knowing that victory would see them clinch the title on goal difference over Caerau Ely.
The goals were scored by Corey Shephard (2), Brandon Coombes, Brad Williams, Jamie Coombes, Jack Weaver and Cameron Thomas.
Following the victory, the club has been inundated with congratulatory messages.
A spokesperson for the Bulldogs said: “Ryan Betteney and his backroom staff have done a terrific job and to win a league title in the third season since its inception, is a remarkable achievement.
“There’s a lot of hard work going on behind the scenes at Ton Pentre with the intention of building success for the future.
“The players have been tremendous this season, many of whom have broken through to the First Team, and they deserve this success.”
