Following a midweek draw at Haverfordwest County, the Bulldogs are on the road again on Saturday (15 April) as they make the shorter journey to Taffs Well for a 2:30pm kick off.
The Wellmen are full of confidence following a 4-2 victory at second-placed Goytre (Gwent) on Wednesday and will be reeling from their 6-0 defeat to Ton Pentre at Ynys Park back in March. They will therefore, be looking to do all they can to beat the Bulldogs at their Rhiw Dda’r home.
Ton Pentre are without the services of several key players with Liam Hutchinson and Phil Clarke missing the last match of their respective suspensions and Corey Shephard continues to be unavailable for selection. The Bulldogs suffered a further blow against Haverfordwest when Steve Williams left the pitch with a suspected hamstring injury.
However, the Bulldogs will still be confident of taking something from the match as they battle against finishing the season in Division One’s bottom three.
Following confirmation on Friday that Aberystwtyth Town have avoided relegation at the expense of Rhyl in the Dafabet Welsh Premier League, it seems increasingly likely that only two teams will be relegated from Division One this season if Barry Town United finish inside the top two in order to gain promotion. In this scenario, only Risca United and Caldicot Town will be relegated.

Meanwhile, Ton Pentre’s Reserve Team are in league action against Aberdare Town at their Lewistown home on Saturday, 15 April at 2:30pm.
