Sam Small scrambled the ball over the line with the last kick of the game at Haverfordwest County to secure a point for the Bulldogs and end a run of three straight defeats.
Haverfordwest were reduced to 10-men in the 38th minute when Ashley Bevan was dismissed for a late and dangerous tackle on Ton Pentre’s Andre Griffiths.
Following the sending off, Haverfordwest put two lines of four behind the ball to protect their goal and frustrate the Bulldogs. The tactic worked and despite Ton Pentre dominating possession, Haverfordwest caught the Rhondda club on the break in the second half for Lee Hudgell to score.
County nearly doubled their lead moments later when they hit the post but Ton Pentre were determined not to have a wasted trip and finally made their one-man advantage count deep into added time, when Small forced the ball over the line for a dramatic equaliser.
The point saw the Bulldogs move into 12th place and above Port Talbot Town on goal difference.
Ton Pentre’s next match is on Saturday, 15 April away at Taffs Well. Kick off is at 2:30pm.
