Ton Pentre v Taffs Well l Saturday, 11 March 2016 | Welsh League Division One | KO 2:30pm | Ynys Park

Ton Pentre welcome Taffs Well to Ynys Park on Saturday (11 March) following a midweek draw against Undy Athletic.

The Bulldogs let a 2-0 half-time lead slip against Undy on Wednesday night following an excellent comeback from the Gwent outfit.

Gavin Morris had given Ton Pentre the lead as the result of some pressure on the Undy defence from a series of corners. He struck the ball through a crowded box to make it 1-0. A few moments later Thomas Davies doubled the lead with a volley in the box from another corner kick.

Undy hit back six minutes into the second half and drew level from the penalty spot in the 67th minute following a handball in the Bulldogs box.

Every point counts though and Ton Pentre have now been unbeaten in their last four matches.

Taffs Well were without a match last weekend as their fixture at Caerau Ely fell to the weather. The Wellmen lost 2-0 against Goytre United in their last match, prior to which, they went on a three game winning streak defeating Cambrian & Clydach, Port Talbot and Risca United.

The match at Ynys Park kicks off at 2:30pm.
