DAVIES RETURNS FOR GOYTRE VISIT

Goytre v Ton Pentre l Welsh League Division One l Saturday, 18 February 2017 l KO 2:00pm l Plough Road

Bulldogs captain Thomas Davies is available once again following a three match suspension and will be available for selection in today’s (18 February) match at Goytre (Gwent).

It will be a tough test for Lee Phillips’ team as Goytre currently sit second in the table behind Barry Town Town United, however, Ton Pentre will be confident following last Saturday’s vital victory over Risca United at Ynys Park.

Goytre have been licking their wounds throughout the course of the week after they went down 4-1 at Caerau Ely in their last match. The Gwent based club will certainly want to bounce back against the Bulldogs at Plough Road.

The match kicks off at 2.00pm.

BULLDOGS RESERVES

Ton Pentre’s Reserve Team, guided by Ross Griffiths, visit Bridgend Street today in Welsh League Reserve Division Central.

The Reserves have endured a frustrating time of late with postponements due to the weather and burst water pipes at their home ground in Lewistown meant that last week’s game against Abergavenny Town also couldn’t go ahead.

Bridgend Street come into the match on the back of a 4-1 defeat against Aberdare Town and could be low on confidence, while the Bulldogs will be eager for a return to action.

The match at Bridgend Street in Cardiff kicks off at 2:00pm.
