Ton Pentre play Bangor City on Sunday, 4 December in a mouth-watering JD Welsh Cup Round 3 match in front of what is expected to be a large crowd at Ynys Park. The match kicks off at 3:00pm.
The game is also being televised live on S4C. Sgorio begin transmission at 2:45pm and the draw for Round 4 will also be broadcast live on Clwb from the Clubhouse during the evening following the match.
Due to the anticipated crowd and with the match being broadcast live on television, the Bulldogs have decided to issue the following supporter information ahead of the match.
We advise fans to purchase their tickets in advance of matchday from the Clubhouse between 7pm and 9pm every weeknight prior to the game. Tickets are priced – Adults £5, Concessions £3, U16s £FREE. Purchasing tickets in advance will ease congestion at the entry points to Ynys Park.
On the day of the match, tickets will be available from the Clubhouse car park and we therefore recommend purchasing your ticket before entering the Clubhouse or Ynys Park.
Payment will be accepted on the gate prior to kick off once the ticket purchase point is closed.
Please keep your ticket stubs safe following the match as they can be used at a future game (match to be confirmed) for discounted entry.
TON PENTRE AFC SOCIAL CLUB & CAR PARK
The Ton Pentre AFC Social Club (the Clubhouse) will be open from 11:30am on Sunday and we encourage Bangor City and Bulldogs fans to use the facilities. There will be plenty of space inside the Clubhouse during the course of the day as there are no other events taking place.
Please note that no alcohol can be consumed within Ynys Park during the match, as per the Football Association of Wales rules. We respectfully request that this rule is adhered to as there will be families present on the day and we want everyone to enjoy the match in a friendly manner.
The Clubhouse will be open during the match and at half-time.
Please note that the Clubhouse car park can only be accessed with a pass that will need to be shown on Llanfoist Street. The car park is required for Players, Bangor City officials, match officials and the broadcasters so that they can have easy access to the Stadium and Clubhouse for broadcast purposes.
BROADCASTERS & TON ROW / CLARENCE STREET ACCESS
S4C will be broadcasting the match live from Ynys Park on its Sgorio programme. It is important that residents be aware that the broadcast vehicles will arrive on Saturday (3 December) morning to build a gantry and place their vehicles behind the Stadium.
Lorries will therefore travel down Ton Row and turn in through the ‘coal gates’ and pass down the lane at the rear of Ton Row and Clarence Street. The vehicles will depart following the match on Sunday/Monday.
Given the anticipated length of the lorries, they may require a wide turning circle into, and out of, the ‘coal gates’ on Ton Row. To minimise any potential issues we politely suggest that residents avoid parking vehicles too close to the coal gate turning on the weekend. Also please try to avoid parking in the lane behind Ton Row/Clarence Street.
The Club has provided advance notification of this information to the residents affected.
CAR PARKING IN LOCAL AREA
Due to the significant interest in this match we recommend that fans arrive as early as possible in the area to park. The Clubhouse car park can only be accessed to pass holders (please see above) and so fans will only have access to on-street parking.
The Club is currently in discussion with local organisations to provide additional parking, if this becomes a possibility we will advise you via the website and social media.
An area outside the ground will be reserved by the Stewards for the Bangor City Team Bus.
Stewards will be present both inside and outside of Ynys Park during Sunday to assist fans coming into the Clubhouse and Stadium areas.
Gates will be open from 1.30pm and the Club plans to offer two refreshment points within the Stadium and additional toilet facilities will also be installed inside Ynys Park for spectators.
The live broadcast will be presented from the Ynys Park pitch throughout the afternoon and we respectfully ask that you do not enter the field of play at any time so as not to disrupt the live broadcast.
No alcohol or pyrotechnics will be allowed in the ground due to the strict rules that are enforced by the Football Association of Wales. The Clubhouse will be open from 11:30am.
TENOVUS CANCER CARE
The Club’s charity partners Tenovus Cancer Care will be attending the match and shall be doing a bucket collection. Please give generously as it’s for a great cause.
MINUTE’S SILENCE FOR CHAPECOENSE
Following the recent tragedy concerning the Brazilian football team Chapecoense, a minute’s silence will be held at all JD Welsh Cup matches across the country this weekend as football pays its respects.
We have installed additional toilets inside Ynys Park. A male and female portaloo can be found behind the seated stand.
