BIG BOYS BANGOR FOR TON IN THE WELSH CUP

Ton Pentre have drawn Bangor City at Ynys Park in Round 3 of the JD Welsh Cup

The Bulldogs have been drawn against Dafabet Welsh Premier League big boys Bangor City in Round 3 of the JD Welsh Cup.

The draw was broadcast live on the FA Wales Facebook page on Monday evening (7 November) from Cardiff Met University.

The match will be played at Ynys Park over the weekend of 2/3/4 December and the Bulldogs are currently waiting to find out whether the match may be selected for television.

A spokesperson for the Bulldogs said: “This is a fantastic cup tie. It’s certainly one of the standout fixtures of Round 3 and it will be fantastic to welcome Welsh Premier League opposition to Ynys Park.

“Bangor have been an incredible successful club over the years and they appear to be returning to their best under Andy Legg and the new owners at the club.

“We’re sure this fixture will capture the imagination of the Rhondda’s football loving public and they will come out in their numbers to support the Bulldogs in this mouthwatering encounter.”
