BULLDOGS DEFEATED IN ENTERTAINING RHONDDA DERBY

Ton Pentre 2-3 Cambrian & Clydach Vale l Welsh League Division One l Friday, 21 October 2016 l Ynys Park

Ton Pentre were defeated in an exciting Rhondda Derby match at Ynys Park where over 350 people turned out to watch the encounter.

The Bulldogs were dealt a blow before kick off as captain Thomas Davies was ruled out of the game through injury.

Richard French gave Cambrian & Clydach Vale the lead before Liam Hutchinson equalised for Ton Pentre. However, Jason Bertorelli restored the lead for the visitors before half-time.

The Bulldogs were on top in the second half and finally made their pressure count when Leon Jacka made it 2-2 in the 82nd minute. However, moments later, Andre Griffiths conceded a penalty that Jamie Rewbury scored from to secure the win for Cambrian & Clydach Vale.

Ton Pentre wore pink in support of Tenovus Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Awareness Month for this match.
