Ton Pentre travel to Port Talbot Town today (15 October) as they look to continue building on their recent run of good results.
The Bulldogs go into the match on the back of five consecutive victories, which include impressive wins over high-flying Cwmbran Celtic and Goytre. However, the last time Ton Pentre ventured to the Port Talbot region they came away defeated against the Steelmen’s big rivals Afan Lido.
On their website, Port Talbot Town have reported that striker Marley Bishop is expected to come back into the team following a spell on the sidelines through injury.
Meanwhile, they’ll have a change in goal as Matthew Stanton is suspended so Connah McFenton is likely to deputise. The Steelmen will also be without Ryan Kostromin and the experienced Remi Whitelock who are also serving suspensions.
There is a boost for Port Talbot however, as they recently re-signed Jonathan Hood, a player with some considerable Welsh Premier League experience.
Port Talbot lost 2-0 to Caerau Ely in their last match but have recently picked up decent results against Taffs Well and Cambrian & Clydach Vale, so Ton Pentre manager Lee Phillips will be wary.
