24 September 2016 is a day on which the Bulldogs created more history – as Ton Pentre Reserves played their very first match and achieved their very first win.

Ton Pentre were up against Bridgend Street Reserves, at their temporary home ground in Lewistown, and the Bulldogs couldn’t have asked for a better start to the season.

Josh Edwards was the very first player to put the ball in the back of the net, and he also added a second later in the match, with the Bulldogs going on to secure a 3-2 victory over their Cardiff-based opponents, with Dale Snooks also getting on the scoresheet.

The result capped off a fine weekend for the Bulldogs with the First Team also winning at Risca United. The Youth Team will hope to continue the positive results on Monday (26 September) as they welcome Taffs Well to Ynys Park (KO 7.30pm).

The next match for Ton Pentre Reserves is away to AFC Llwydcoed on Saturday, 1 October. Kick off 2.30pm.
