Ton Pentre Youth suffered their fifth successive defeat as they went down 4-2 at home to Barry Town United Youth.
The young Bulldogs battled hard in this game and the final scoreline was probably a little harsh on the performance that they had put in.
Barry Town took the lead via a stunning free kick from Theo Richards but the Bulldogs equalised shortly before half-time when Jamie Coombes saw his free kick take a deflection off a defender on the way into the net.
In the second half, Adam Owens struck twice to make it 3-1 before Kurt Hodges thought he’d given Ton Pentre a chance of getting back into the match when he made it 3-2.
The hope was short-lived as Owens netted his hat-trick when Barry Town hit Ton Pentre on the break after they had flooded forward.
The Bulldogs were also reduced to 10 men when Coombes received his marching orders after kicking an opponent following a challenge.
The Youth’s next match is on Sunday, 27 March when they visit Caerau Ely for a 2.30pm kick off.
