Ton Pentre go to Briton Ferry Llansawel today (Saturday, 20 February) for a tough match against a team that are so far unbeaten in 2016, much like the Bulldogs.
Briton Ferry are quite formidable at their Old Road home having only lost once there this season against Aberdare Town.
The Bulldogs opponents are hopeful of a top four finish but will be without Gareth Jones and the injured Ryan Griffiths.
Ton Pentre are also enjoying a spell of good form and go into the match on the back of last week’s incredible 4-4 draw against Barry Town United.
Bulldogs striker Sam Small limped off in that match but it is hoped he will have recovered in time for today’s visit to Old Road. Ton Pentre are however, still without the suspended Thomas Davies.
Once again the weather has raised questions as to whether the match will go ahead due to heavy rain on Friday, 19 February and the forecast for Saturday afternoon. As a result, a pitch inspection is required at 10.30am this morning.
