Ton Pentre Youth suffered their heaviest defeat at Barry Town United despite taking the lead at Jenner Park in this Ivy Court Cottages Welsh League Youth Division East match.
The Bulldogs took the lead through Brandon Coombes after just two minutes and controlled the opening 30 minutes of the match.
However, Ton Pentre mistakes led to Barry Town United putting pressure on the Bulldogs defence and before half-time the home team not only equalised but put themselves in a 2-1 lead.
Ton Pentre knew it wasn’t going to be their day when they fell further behind in the 49th minute and Barry Town United went on to score another three times to inflict a 6-1 defeat on the Bulldogs.
The score could have been higher were it not for some fine saves from Cameron Hodder.
This will certainly be a match that Youth Team will want to forget.
Ton Pentre Youth’s next match is on Monday, 15 February away to Taffs Well, kick off 7.30pm.
