A TRIBUTE TO BRYAN BEES

Bulldogs Chairman releases a statement on behalf of the Ton Pentre AFC Committee

On behalf of Ton Pentre AFC, Chairman Ceri Jones has released the following tribute to his predecessor Bryan Bees, who sadly passed away on Tuesday, 24 November:

“On behalf of the committee, supporters and all associated with Ton Pentre AFC, I would like to pass on our condolences to the family and friends of Bryan, who sadly passed away earlier today.  Bryan’s association with the Bulldogs stretches back over the majority of his life.

“During his period as Chairman of the Bulldogs, Bryan brought vision, enthusiasm and unrivalled commitment to the role.

“Bryan has not only left a significant legacy to Ton Pentre AFC, but the wider Rhondda community is indebted to Bryan for all of his contribution to civic life in the valley.

“Under Bryan’s leadership the club consolidated its position as a top Welsh League club and off the field he was instrumental in driving forward the infrastructure of our home ground, Ynys Park.  The showpiece of Ynys Park, the spectator stand, is a fitting testament to Bryan’s energy and vision.

“The committee of Ton Pentre AFC will consult with Bryan’s family in due course to agree a permanent and fitting tribute to Bryan’s legacy.”
