DOMINANT DISPLAY AS BULLDOGS WIN COMFORTABLY

Ton Pentre 4-0 West End l Pre-season Friendly Match l Saturday, 8 August 2015 l Ynys Park

In their penultimate pre-season friendly before the start of the 2015/16 Nathaniel Cars Welsh League Division One season, Ton Pentre turned in a fine display at Ynys Park against West End to win the match before half-time.

The Bulldogs played with high intensity and their Swansea-based opponents were struggling to deal with the force of the attack.

Luke Jones gave Ton Pentre the lead after 6 minutes when he was on the end of a pinpoint cross from Rob Blatchford.

Five minutes later Jones pounced again to make it 2-0 after Leon Jacka’s cross saw Tom Billing and Blatchford combine to set the goal up.

Ton Pentre were enjoying themselves and when Lewis Hitchcock took the ball forward on the left, dribbling past several West End players, he set-up Jacka on the edge of the box. The Bulldogs attacker unleashed a quality effort that made it 3-0 when his shot went in off the underside of the crossbar in the 24th minute.

Jacka turned supplier 10 minutes later when he squared a pass to Tom Billing and the striker slotted the ball into the back of the net.

Ton Pentre’s final pre-season friendly before the commencement of the season is away to South Wales Alliance League Division One outfit Tonyrefail BGC on Wednesday, 12 August at 6.30pm.
