BULLDOGS SQUAD TAKES SHAPE AS PLAYERS PUT PEN TO PAPER

Lee Phillips has been busy over the summer by keeping key members of the squad and adding experience to it

Putting pen to paper: Billing, Hitchcock, Mouncher, Jacka, Blatchford and Griffiths.

Lee Phillips’ squad is beginning to take shape ahead of the 2015/16 Welsh Football League Division One season with several new faces coming into the squad alongside some that will be familiar to Ton Pentre fans.

Joining the Bulldogs for the new campaign will be experienced striker Tom Billing from Barry Town United. Billing is a former Ton Pentre player who has a vast amount of Welsh Premier League and Welsh Football League experience.

Rob Blatchford is another signing from Barry Town United who has also previously played his football at Ynys Park. Blatchford is also a very experienced Welsh League campaigner.

Phillips has also added former Taffs Well defender Aaron Jewell to his squad. Jewell played for the Bulldogs boss when he was in charge of Cynon Valley outfit Aberdare Town.

These three players join Tom Mouncher, Lewis Hitchcock, Leon Jacka and Andre Griffiths, who have all re-signed for the 2015/16 season. This news is sure to please the Ynys Park faithful with all four players establishing themselves in the starting XI last season.

This news comes on the back of the story that tonpentreafc.com brought you recently about Thomas Davies putting pen to paper and committing his future to the Bulldogs. Davies will also be Club Captain for the 2015/16 season.

The club hopes to announce several more new signings in due course.
