Andrew Hughes steps down from his position on the Management Team

It has been confirmed that Andrew Hughes has stepped down from his position on the Bulldogs management team.

Over many seasons, Hughes has demonstrated his commitment to Ton Pentre in both a playing capacity and as an Assistant Manager.

Hughes also played an important role following the departure of Manager Dean Morris last season by taking charge of First Team affairs until the appointment of Lee Phillips.

Alongside Phillips, Hughes assisted in guiding the Bulldogs away from the bottom of the Welsh League Division One table to 9th position, following some excellent results against the best teams in the league.

A spokesperson for Ton Pentre said: “We are sad to see Andrew leave as he has been an excellent servant to this Club.

“Andrew’s commitment, desire and hunger as both a player and as part of the management team will be greatly missed. He encapsulates the Bulldogs spirit and we know what Ton Pentre means to him. His work behind the scenes at this Club have not gone unnoticed.

“We wish Andrew all the very best for the future.”
