Garden Village 4-4 Ton Pentre | Welsh League Division One | Wednesday, 29 April 2015 | Stafford Common

Garden Village and Ton Pentre played out a 4-4 draw at Stafford Common on Wednesday (29 April) night in Nathaniel Cars Welsh League Division One.

The Bulldogs took the lead in the 17th minute of play when a poor throw from the Garden Village goalkeeper went to Ton Pentre striker Dan Richard. He lobbed the goalkeeper to make it 1-0.

Garden Village equalised ten minutes later when a strike from 20-yards found its way past Ryan Wookey in the Bulldogs goals.

A 40th minute penalty following a foul on Connor Berry, saw Jaymie Wearn regain the lead for Ton Pentre.

Garden Village were awarded a penalty themselves during the 57th minute of play when Thomas Davies committed a foul inside the box. The home team made it 2-2 from the spot.

Two minutes later Garden Village were in the lead for the first time in the match when an 18-yard strike eluded Wookey.

It got worse for Ton Pentre in the 76th minute as a goalkeeping error allowed Garden Village to take a 4-2 lead.

Andrew Hughes set Wearn through to score his second of the match in the 82nd minute to make the score 4-3.

Hughes was involved again deep inside added on time as he notched up another assist for Thomas Davies to score a dramatic equaliser, making it 4-4.

Ton Pentre’s next match is on Saturday, 2 May at home against Briton Ferry Llansawel at 2.30pm.
