YOUTH MATCH ABANDONED DUE TO INJURY

Ton Pentre’s Youth match at Barry Town United on Tuesday (28 April) night was abandoned after 70 minutes due to a serious injury.

Barry Town United player Taylor Harris, sustained a suspected broken ankle in this Ivy Court Welsh League Youth Division East match, following which, the referee abandoned play.

At the time of the abandonment, the Bulldogs were leading 2-0 through Tyler Clatworthy and an own goal.

Both clubs will now await the decision of the Welsh Football League to find out when the match will be replayed.

A spokesperson for the Bulldogs said: “We wish Taylor Harris a speedy recovery from what appeared to be a bad injury.”

Barry Town United have further tweeted that following an x-ray, their player has not broken his ankle but has sustained ligament damage:
