Ton Pentre visited Caerau Ely in the Ivy Court Welsh League Youth Division East on the back of a home win over the Cardiff club several days before. However, on this occasion it was Caerau Ely who came out on top.
Caerau Ely were a goal up at half-time through Steve Mbanza but the Bulldogs equalised in the second half through Connor Berry.
By hitting the back of the net for the Bulldogs, Berry had scored two goals in two days for Ton Pentre having got himself on the scoresheet against Haverfordwest County in Welsh League Division One.
As full-time approached, it appeared as though the teams were going home with a point apiece, however, Sam Webster scored a winner for Caerau Ely in the last minute of the match to deny the Bulldogs a share of the points.
Ton Pentre’s next youth match is on Tuesday, 28 April against Barry Town United at Jenner Park. Kick off is at 7.00pm.
