RHONDDA DERBY WILL BE THE BIGGEST GAME OF THE SEASON

Afan Lido's 2-1 win over Cambrian & Clydach sets up an enthralling Rhondda Derby encounter

With Afan Lido beating Cambrian & Clydach Vale on Tuesday (14 April) night in Welsh League Division One, it sets up a mouthwatering Rhondda Derby at Ynys Park on Friday, 17 April at 7:30pm.

Cambrian & Clydach lost the match 2-1 with Afan Lido taking the lead through Dan McGrath, who lobbed goalkeeper Luke Evans to make it 1-0. Cambrian levelled through Craig Hughes before Alex Gammond scored a second half winner for Afan Lido.

There are six clubs in the bottom half of the Division One table that could yet finish in the relegation zone and the Bulldogs are amongst them.

If Ton Pentre can beat Cambrian & Clydach in the Rhondda Derby on Friday, the Bulldogs will secure their Division One status and finish the season as the top Rhondda club.

Ton Pentre v Cambrian & Clydach Vale is now the biggest game of the season and a match not to be missed. Kick off at Ynys Park on Friday is at 7:30pm.
