YOUTH HOPING TO BEAT THE RAIN

Ton Pentre Youth v Monmouth Town Youth | Welsh League Youth Division East | Monday, 10 November 2014 | Kick off: 7:15pm | Ynys Park

Despite Ynys Park being bombarded with heavy rain over the past few days, Ton Pentre Youth will hope that the weather holds off in order for their Ivy Court Welsh League Youth Division East match to go ahead against Monmouth Town Youth on Monday (10 November).

A pitch inspection at Ynys Park is expected to take place on Monday afternoon and if it passes, the young Bulldogs will be without Aaron Evans and Connor Ray through suspension for the visit of the Kingfishers.

On a positive note, there are no new injury concerns and Manager Ryan Betteney told tonpentreafc.com: “The players have been great since the disappointing result against AFC Porth a few weeks ago. We have been working hard to put things right and the response from the players has been outstanding.

“For their efforts, the team have won their last three games, which has included beating a strong Merthyr Town outfit and a FAW Youth Cup victory against an undefeated Aberdare Town. We now look forward to our upcoming League matches.”

We will provide you with the outcome of Monday afternoon’s pitch inspection here on tonpentreafc.com, Facebook and Twitter as soon as we receive the information.
