Ton Pentre Youth train for the first time ahead of the new season

Ton Pentre’s Youth team commenced training today (15 July) at Ynys Park and the Bulldogs management were encouraged, as the session proved popular with an excellent turnout.

Following the training session, Assistant Manager Matthew Evans said: “It was great to see the turnout we had from the lads tonight.

“The quality was good and should hopefully lead to a successful season.”

Ryan Betteney, the Bulldogs Youth team Manager, commented: “It was great to see 22 lads there…” and jokingly added: “We had to scrap the planned session as we didn’t expect such a fantastic turnout.”

Ton Pentre are awaiting news from the Welsh Football League as to whether they will be placed in either the East or West division for the 2014/2015 season.
