Ton Pentre v Goytre (Gwent)
Nathaniel Cars Welsh League Division One
Saturday, 21st September 2013
Kick-off: 2.30pm

Gwent outfit Goytre will visit Ynys Park today (Saturday, 21st September) for a Nathaniel Cars Welsh League Division One match.

Spectators at Ynys ParkGoytre were crowned champions of Welsh League Division Two last season by 17 clear points and the Gwent-based outfit are currently sitting top of Division One with 4 wins and 2 losses from 6 matches. They sit a single point ahead of second-placed Taffs Well.

Despite sitting top of the pile, the Goytre defence appears to be susceptible to conceding goals with their opponents finding the back of the net on 10 occasions this season to cancel out the 10 goals that they have scored.

In their last match, Goytre beat reigning champions West End 2-1 at their Plough Road home. Meanwhile, Ton Pentre welcome their visitors to the Rhondda on the back of a 2-2 draw against Goytre United (who are not to be confused with today’s opponents) at Ynys Park last week.

Bulldogs manager Dean Morris is hopeful that striker Jaymie Wearn will be fit enough to make a full return against the League’s top team and is also hopeful that Steffan Davies will also have recovered to play after limping off the pitch against Undy Athletic in the League Cup earlier this month.

Ton Pentre player Craig Reddy will be available for selection against Goytre as the midfielder has now completed a 7 match suspension, that was outstanding from last season whilst he was registered with Treharris Athletic Western. It is likely, that with a lack of match fitness, Reddy will occupy a seat on the bench, however, the player will be eager to get involved following his lengthy lay-off.

This match at Ynys Park will kick off at 2.30pm and out Bulldogs Live Score service will be available here on TonPentreAFC.com throughout the match.
