Young transferred to Aberbargoed in September 2012 after having joined the Bulldogs at the start of the 2009/2010 season.

The midfielder’s return is likely to be widely welcomed by the Bulldogs fans, as Young was a popular figure at Ynys Park during his last spell at the Club and he will certainly add character to Morris’ squad.

Despite much close season speculation, Morris has secured the services of Club captain Adam Lewis, Ross Porter, Jaymie Wearn, John Edwards, Lloyd Toghill, Josh Powell and Richard Ingram.

Thomas Davies has also committed to the Bulldogs for another year after an outstanding 2012/2013 season that saw him swipe four trophies at the Ton Pentre Awards Night back in June.

Amongst Morris’ new signings is experienced goalkeeper Neil Collins, who joins the Bulldogs after spending last season with Bridgend Town. Collins was also part of the Aberaman Athletic (now Aberdare Town) team that won the Welsh League Division One title in 2008/2009.

Ceri Kinsey, Gareth Bees and Dean Morris have worked hard building their squad over the summer.

Andre Griffiths, who appears to be an exciting prospect, joins the Club from Cambrian & Clydach Academy, while midfielder George Daly also registers having spent last season with spells at Bridgend Town and AFC Porth.

Meanwhile, shot stopper Ryan Betteney, Leon Jacka and Dorian Sweet, a prolific goalscorer in the South Wales Amateur League, join the Bulldogs from Ton & Gelli BC.

Morris has also brought Gareth Bees into his management team for the forthcoming season, who brings with him a wealth of experience. Gareth is the son of Bulldogs Chairman Bryan Bees, and is a former Ton Pentre striker who was prolific for the Club during the 1980s.

You can see the new look Bulldogs in action on Thursday, 25th July when Merthyr Town visit Ynys Park for a 7.30pm kick-off.
