Ton Pentre v Barry Town Match is Postponed

The MacWhirter Welsh League Division One match between Ton Pentre and Barry Town scheduled for Saturday, 11th May 2013 at Ynys Park has been postponed.

Following consultation with the Welsh Football League, Ton Pentre AFC have been advised that the match with Barry Town at Ynys Park will not go ahead.

Both Ton Pentre and Barry Town have experienced a week of turmoil after last Tuesday’s game between the two clubs was cancelled by their owner Stuart Lovering just hours before kick-off.

Since then there has been uncertainty as to Barry Town’s continued existence in the Welsh Football League.

The League Management Committee will sit on Monday, 13th May 2013 to discuss the issues concerning the Jenner Park club.

Why are Ton Pentre in turmoil over Barry Towns problems?? As far as I’m concerned if we don’t play them, then our season is over. After the way we played in the second half against Monmouth Town, that might not be a bad thing!!

    • Probably right there Martyn regarding the performance last week! The turmoil is probably all the pointless planning that’s done behind the scenes to get game on.

It feels as though we’ve had two matches stolen from us!

      • The turmoil is going to be in determing a revised league table after deducting points won by clubs if Barry does not fulfil its fixtures.

Well Notrac it looks as though that bit of “Turmoil” was sorted out very quickly as the following morning the revised table was published on the Welsh-Premier website.
As the programme is probably written in Microsoft Access it would only take a few Key Strokes to do it. It’s not rocket science
