Ton Pentre will welcome Haverfordwest County to Ynys Park later today (Saturday, 20th April 2013) in a game that the Bluebirds will be feeling the pressure as the west Wales outfit require all three points to remain in touching distance of a top two finish in MacWhirter Welsh League Division One.

If Haverfordwest are able to finish the season in the top two they will achieve promotion to the Corbett Sports Welsh Premier League, however, they currently lie sixth in the table and five points off West End in second place.

The Bluebirds played West End in midweek but despite the Swansea based club having a player sent-off, Haverfordwest failed to capitalise and drew 1-1.

Haverfordwest will be clear favourites for the win at Ynys Park today, however, they have only won one match in their previous five games.  Nevertheless, their players will be determined to take maximum points off the Bulldogs despite the last two encounters between the pair ending in goalless draws.

Ton Pentre will look forward to Haverfordwest’s challenge, however, injury concerns remain over midfielders Owen Davies and Josh Evans, while Lloyd Toghill is also reported to have a niggle.

The Rhondda club come into this match on the back of a 2-2 draw at Monmouth Town. It was an exciting match with the home team drawing level with the Bulldogs deep into injury time. You’ll find a match report from the game here.

On paper this match is an enthralling prospect and it all kicks off at 2.30pm so please be sure to come along and support the Bulldogs at Ynys Park.
