The news of the postponement comes as no surprise with at least 20 centimetres of snow having fallen on the Ynys Park pitch when measured early Friday morning.

On Thursday, the Met Office had issued a Red warning of snow for the Valleys and Ton Pentre has certainly been hit with it.

The decision to postpone the match has been taken early with the weekend’s weather forecast in mind and to avoid any doubt.

The match will now be played at a later date and will be confirmed in due course here on TonPentreAFC.com.

We hope our supporters enjoy the snow but please stay safe.
