Following a three week hiatus the Bulldogs return to action today (Saturday, 20th October) as the FAW Welsh Cup First Round match against Dinas Powys finally gets underway at Ynys Park with a 2.30pm kick off.
As a result, and in accordance with the competition rules, the Football Association of Wales switched the First Round tie to Ynys Park, Ton Pentre, following the second postponement.
Bulldogs manager, Dean Morris, will hope that the home advantage will give his Ton Pentre team the edge in the encounter but Dinas Powys will also be fancying their chances as they are currently enjoying good form in Welsh League Division Two.
Key for Dinas will be their inspirational captain Adam Raymond, a former Newcastle Emlyn player, who will look to guide his teammates into Round Two with the scalp of a Division One club on their home turf.
The FAW Welsh Cup is one of the oldest domestic cup competitions in the world and this delayed First Round match promises to be an entertaining affair, as matches between Dinas Powys and Ton Pentre normally are.
Today will also see both Ton Pentre and Dinas Powys provide their support to Show Racism the Red Card’s Fortnight of Action prior to the 2.30pm kick off as all of the Welsh football community unite to deliver the anti-racist message.
