Pontardawe Town and Ton Pentre are set to have another go at playing their FAW Welsh Cup Round Two match today (Saturday, 17th November) following last week’s postponement by the match referee after players, officials and fans had arrived at the Recreation Ground.
The Recreation Ground pitch at Pontardawe was given the all clear on Saturday morning and the match will go ahead.
The Bulldogs will be playing under difficult circumstances following the untimely passing of lifelong fan and volunteer, Mark Reynolds. However, the players will undoubtedly want to honour him with a good performance.
However, Pontardawe will be labelled favourites for this match as they look to progress into the Third Round of the competition, particularly since the Bulldogs failed to beat the west Wales outfit in a League match back in September after they were reduced to nine men.
The winners of this match will play the winners of Goytre (Gwent) and Caerau at home on 9th December in Round Three.
Our Bulldogs Live Score service will be available for this match as and from kick-off. There will also be some pre-match build-up across our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram pages.
